The Benefits of Using Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant

Daily Microfoliant by Dermalogica is a gentle yet effective exfoliating powder appropriate for all skin types, even Rosacea. This exclusive rice-based powder gently exfoliates, brightens and calms skin. The product is designed to be used daily and there are no added artificial fragrances or colors.

When activated with water Daily Microfoliant releases exfoliants Papain ( an enzyme found in unripe papayas which dissolves the " cellular cement " or bond between skin cells ) , Salicylic Acid ( a keratilytic that unblocks skin pores allowing pimples to shrink ), and Rice Enzymes (a gentle means of exfoliation ) that desquamate dead skin instantly. Skin brightening ingredients Aspergillus ( the agent responsible for Kojic acid, a skin lightener ) , Grapefruit ( an antiseptic which cleans and clears congestion ) and Licorice ( an anti-inflammatory with similar effects as that of hydrocortisone ) are freed and help balance uneven pigmentation.

This amazing product is neither grainy or irritating, but extremely result oriented. I have been using Dermalogica since 1992 and this is one of my favorite products. A couple great tips for Daily Microfoliant use is # 1, when using Retin-A it gently exfoliates the accumulated dead and flaky skin cells, thus making makeup application much easier. #2 make sure when removing the product with warm water you check on and around your ears. The product is white and several times I have left the house with white paste in and around my ears, a great conversation starter you might not want.
